Fathers and Sons - The Autobiography of a Family by Alexander Waugh
Those amused by the books (fictional and autobiographical) of Evelyn Waugh and his son Auberon will not be disappointed. Figures include E W's country doctor grandfather ''The Brute'' and his own publisher father Arthur, so cloyingly attached to his writer son Alec that he seems unhinged. Alexander adds to Evelyn Waugh lore with descriptions of the latter's wife (fonder of her cows than of her children) and expresses touching admiration and affection for Auberon. What a family!
