This is a combination of two autobiographical memoirs of the distinguished English cartoonist (1908 - 1986) as well as author of books on architecture amongst other things. Re-reading these memoirs after a gap of several years, I was immediately struck by the humour, verve and panache with which they were written. Together with his many line drawings, they proved once again a source of much enjoyment as well as amusement.
