It captures "what it was like to fight in the demanding terrain and climate of Burma; and . . . . to be confronted by the most formidable soldiers encountered by anyone in the Second World War - the Japanese"*. For me, it was a search for my father who was there and never spoke of it, for others it will be fascinating history.
