Resistance |
D-Day has failed, Germany invades the UK, women in a Welsh valley wake to find their husbands gone: all part of a plan to set up a resistance movement against the invaders. Their valley is then occupied by a troop of Germans, and the two groups become dependent on each other for survival. A great story which is well written and gives lots of food for thought, but spoilt by a weak ending. (Annie Noble - bwl 47 September 2008) |
