The Forgotten Garden |
Lovers of family mysteries will relish this book. Set in 1913, 1975 and 2005 it unravels the secrets surrounding a little girl found abandoned on an Australian quayside; all she remembers is that she was hidden on a ship by someone she calls The Authoress, but who then disappeared. It's one of those books which you can imagine reading curled up in front of a roaring fire. In other words, fantasy, but delicious. (Jenny Baker - bwl 48 November 2008) |
