The 19th Wife |
At first I found this novel difficult to understand as it keeps switching from historical facts to modern day storytelling. It is about a subject (Mormon fundamentalism and polygamy) that I knew very little about, so in some ways it was educational. It is vastly entertaining with unforgettable characters, combining love, family, murder and faith. (Shirley Williams - bwl 62 Autumn 2011) |
