The Wind off the Sea |
Interesting, particularly as I remember the winter of 1947 and how severe it was. This is a romantic mystery, recalling the lives of a small community and how a kindly stranger, who seems to know the history of the place, can completely throw them off balance and make them review their present day situations. Again you do not know whether there will be a happy ending or whether people will ever recover from the stranger's arrival. (Shirley Williams - bwl 61 Summer 2011) |
